The British Police Symphony Orchestra returns once more to Symphony Hall on Saturday 7th December 2013 at 7.30pm for its annual Proms Night Spectacular!
Harnessing the full power of the Symphony Hall world renowned organ the orchestra brings Saint-Saëns’ thunderous Organ Symphony to this year’s concert.
Popular French classics follow with Dukas’ Sorcerer’s Apprentice and another offering from Saint-Saëns’ in the form of the Bacchanale from Samson & Delilah opens the concert.
The hypnotic melodies of Ravel’s Pavane Pour Une Infante Défunte will captivate the audience before the orchestra launches into a traditional ‘Proms Night’ finish complete with fireworks!
The British Police Symphony Orchestra will be celebrating their 25th year of music making next year and invites you all to begin the celebrations with its members. The musicians are drawn from across the police forces of the UK and include serving and retired police officers, police staff and other members of the extended police family.
So, bring your singing voices and raise the roof of Symphony Hall to Jerusalem, Rule, Britannia!, and Land Of Hope & Glory and be part of one of the most popular regional concerts of the season.
